University of Tetova and “Haxhi Zeka” University – Peja, sign cooperation agreement

The Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, accompanied by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihi, and the Head of the Rector’s Cabinet, Valmisa Novi, visited the “Haxhi Zeka” University in Peja on January 28, 2025.

They were welcomed at the meeting by the rector of “Haxhi Zeka” University, Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi and his associates. This meeting aimed to discuss the promotion of cooperation, mutual understanding and development in the fields of education and scientific research between Albanian-speaking universities. A cooperation agreement was also signed between the University of Tetova and “Haxhi Zeka” University in Peja, while the signatories of this agreement, rectors Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli and Prof. Dr. Armand Krasniqi, emphasized that the two universities will contribute to the highest quality cooperation in the fields of education and scientific research in the future.

It is also foreseen that joint research projects and pilot projects will be implemented; exchange of research staff and lecturers; student exchange; organization of joint seminars, conferences, workshops, and similar activities; exchange of scientific publications and other materials for research and educational purposes. Among other things, a priority will also be short-term visits of senior staff members for consultations, lectures, and project planning, as well as long-term visits from research and technical staff for training, postgraduate studies, or participation in joint research projects.

The agreement also foresees the exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students for practical training and participation in international programs; encouraging contacts with prominent scientists from other academic centers in the respective countries; joint contacts with scientists in third countries to participate in large-scale international projects, and so on.
