University of Tetova awarded certificates of appreciation to female researchers on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Vice-Rector for Science of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, met with the vice-deans for science from the faculties of the University of Tetova. This meeting aimed to highlight the role and contribution of women in the academic and scientific fields, as well as to encourage their involvement in research and innovative projects.

During the meeting, was emphasized the importance of supporting women in science and higher education, as well as the need for more initiatives and projects that encourage their active participation in scientific and academic development. The Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, highlighted that the University of Tetova remains committed to promoting gender equality in science and creating equal opportunities for all women and girls pursuing academic and research paths. Meanwhile, the participants in the meeting expressed their honor and gratitude for the recognition and support that the University of Tetova provides to women in science, stating that this is an important moment to reflect on the contribution of women to scientific research and to inspire the younger generations of girls to follow the path of knowledge and innovation

In recognition of their work and dedication in education, culture, and science, the Vice-Rector for Science awarded certificates of appreciation to the present vice-deans. This act was also done in honor of the distinguished figure of the first Albanian female scientist in the field of biology, Sabiha Kasimati, who left an important legacy in the academic and scientific world.
